TVB’s upcoming anniversary series, “The Man Who Kills Troubles” (解決師), starring Vincent Wong and Natalie Tong, airs on October 14. The company pulled out all the stops by showing a preview of Jonathan Cheung (張穎康) and Crystal Fung’s (馮盈盈) steamy kiss scene in the shower.
At a promotional event a few days ago, Crystal Fung and Jonathan Cheung were asked about their kiss scene. Crystal Fung shared, “It was pretty sufferable. It’s not as romantic and relaxed as you think. The shower head was splashing water at us from head to toe. Our mouths and noses were filled with water each move we made. After “cut” was yelled, we immediately spit out the water.”
Jonathan Cheung shared his version of the story. He expressed, “While we were kissing, there would be water spilling from our mouths. When it got to the most intense part, it seemed like Crystal Fung spat some water to [my mouth], so I had to constantly spit the water back to her to avoid the water from her mouth being spatted back to me.” Crystal Fung denies spitting the water to his mouth.
With the series airing, Crystal Fung and Jonathan Cheung were asked how their significant others felt about their kiss scene. Crystal Fung mentioned, “It scared me. I don’t know if we will watch this scene when I watch it with my boyfriend tonight. I’m not mentally prepared to watch it.” As for her boyfriend’s thoughts, Crystal Fung said, “He said he will just hypnotize himself to believe that is just a girl that looks like Crystal. Afterwards, he was playing games and calmed himself down.”
Crystal Fung also said she did all the safety pre-measures to protect herself. She expressed, “I put tape all over. Jonathan Cheung is also very professional. He covered me in certain spots. We filmed it the whole night. My whole body was filled with goosebumps and I swallowed a lot of water.” On whether there will be an even more extreme scene, Crystal Fung said, “There will be a bed scene. It’s romantic and touching.”
Jonathan Cheung expressed, “My wife doesn’t mind, but at that time, she said it was a bit awkward. I think she really minded after all.”
