With only 20 something days left until the new year, Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) and Andy Hui’s (許志安) “OnSum Cheating” scandal still remains to be this year’s biggest scandal of the Hong Kong entertainment industry. Ever since the scandal, Jacqueline Wong left Hong Kong with various rumors floating about her whereabouts. All her series were taken off air or re-shot.
Jacqueline Wong Rumored to be Dating RubberBand Drummer, Lai Man
The unthinkable happened when TVB decided to air her series, “Finding Her Voice” (牛下女高音), in October as one of the anniversary series, when it was initially believed the series would be scrapped. Now there are reports that her other series, “The Maid Alliance” (丫鬟大聯盟) will be airing uncut in Hong Kong on December 30, after the run of “Wonder Women”.
Jacqueline Wong Returns to Hong Kong and Faces the Media in Tears After 8 Month Absence
It was previously announced that Jacqueline Wong’s remaining series, “The Maid Alliance” and “The Offliners”(堅離地愛堅離地) would only be airing in Malaysia. Even then, Malaysian netizens expressed they wouldn’t be watching it either. So why is TVB still so adamant in pushing out Jacqueline Wong’s series? Could they be preparing a come back for Jacqueline Wong or perhaps because TVB is running out of series to air? Dramas with heavy police themes such as “Airport Security Unit” and “Agent C7” were originally supposed to air this year, but have been pushed back several times due to the current tensions between citizens and the police in Hong Kong.

Owen Cheung Still Friends with Jacqueline Wong, Doesn’t Blame Her for Series Not Airing
In actuality, “Finding Her Voice” achieved decent rating results. TVB took a gamble when they decided to air the series during the anniversary series slot and said they wouldn’t cut any of Jacqueline Wong’s scenes. That gamble paid off as the finale episode of “Finding Her Voice” achieved 30.7 points and an overall average of 25.7 points for the entire series. This is extremely high for a series that people claimed they wouldn’t watch because “seeing Jacqueline Wong in a taxi reminds me of the incident with Andy Hui. I don’t want to watch it anymore.” Even if Jacqueline Wong isn’t making a comeback, it certainly makes sense from TVB’s perspective to air her leftover series to recoup their investment as it seems the viewers aren’t too bothered by her on screen presence.
