Vicky Chan (陳偉琪) became known for her role as “Jenny” in TVB’s “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold” (愛．回家之開心速遞). She got charged with a DUI last year, but TVB allowed her to return filming. However, she was later thought to be cheating on her boyfriend wen she was spotted with a foreigner, but she clarified she had already broken up with her previous boyfriend. She was also spotted drinking and smoking in the streets.
It’s reported TVB executives didn’t like the negative news surrounding her image, which resulted in the rumors of her being frozen. Vicky Chan’s character, “Jenny”, last appeared on “Lo and Behold” in August. The storyline had her fleeing to the US after she betrayed the “Lung” family to help her father.
At the time, Vicky Chan said she wasn’t being written off and it was just part of the storyline. However, she admits that she hadn’t worked at TVB for a few months already. Due to the temporary “freeze”, it’s reported Vicky Chan has already started looking for work at various public relations companies. She spoke with hk01.com about her current status at TVB and reveals that TVB hasn’t communicated with her for more than 6 months. She said, “I also need to consider working. After all, I need to support my family. I have friends introducing me hosting jobs at the moment.”
When asked if she is changing industries, Vicky Chan said, “It’s hard to say. I have to see where there are better opportunities.” However, Vicky Chan emphasized that while her income has heavily decreased, it’s not considered to be a heavy financial strain for her right now. It’s reported Vicky Chan comes from a comfortable family and is the only child, so her parents dote on her quite a bit.
