The Miss Hong Kong 2020 (2020香港小姐競選) pageant was quite unpredictable this year. There were several hot favorite contestants ranging from Celina Harto (陳楨怡), Roxanne Ho (何孟珊), Rosita Kwok (郭柏妍), Jessica Liu (廖慧儀), and Lisa-Marie Tse (謝嘉怡). Celina Harto, who was crowned first runner up, was the hot favorite from the start. Many people labeled her as the female version of Korean actor, Kim Woo-bin. Netizens also liked her aesthetic and felt she had the looks of a high fashion model. However, during the initial rounds, some people felt she was a bit “cool” and stuck up as she didn’t smile much. Some people even thought she was forced by her mother to join the pageant.

After the pageant was over, the three winners were chatting with the “Young and Restless” crew. There was a segment where the winners would answer questions from netizens. One person expressed they were unhappy with this year’s results and felt Celina Harto was the best. When asked where she lost out on and what she was missing, Celina Harto responded, “There really isn’t anything good or bad. I think my smile could’ve been sweeter tonight.” Celina Harto also candidly said she didn’t think she would even get into the top 3. She explained that people have always said she is shy so she tried harder to be more open. She felt happy about the results and didn’t feel disappointed about second place. She explained Lisa-Marie Tse is very good despite her Cantonese not being so fluent and she was able to bring a lot of joy to everyone.

The first time I saw her I already thought her eyes were very pretty.” When asked if she thought her tattoo affected the outcome, she said, “I already discussed this openly before. It is my principle. I don’t think tattoos would affect the competition.” On what she think she lost out on, Jessica Liu responded, “Not getting into the Top 3 doesn’t mean I lost.
