China is getting quite creative with their new marketing strategies to promote dramas. Hu Yitian (胡一天) and Bridgette Qiao Xin’s (乔欣) upcoming drama, “You Complete Me” (小风暴之时间的玫瑰), just released its trailer on October 26. However, a day later, Tencent released a BTS clip of Hu Yitian and Bridgette Qiao Xin’s kiss scene, which went viral.

In the short clip, Bridgette Qiao and Hu Yitian are doing a kiss scene. After the scene ends, the leads are understandably embarrassed and feeling shy. Hu Yitian’s face and ears were red like a tomato (exaggeration). Later on in the clip, Bridgette Qiao is even seen helping Hu Yitian wipe off the lipstick/lip gloss from his lips. This action earned the #1 spot on Weibo’s Hot Search list with over 4.5 million mentions before the series has even aired.
