The two actors are the youngest amongst the cast. They both started out as child actors, but only worked together in the 2018 film “Shadow” (影). This time they are actually acting as a couple. They both expressed they knew each other very early on. Leo Wu Lei even joked, “At that time, the competition among child actors was fierce! Even if we never met each other, we would know of each other.”

When asked how their daily interactions are, Leo Wu Lei responded, “When we’re together we’re like brothers, the type that are even stronger than brothers.” However, Guan Xiaotong retorted back saying they’re more “like sisters”. When asked if Leo Wu Lei would discuss about homework from his studies at Beijing Film Academy, which is Guan Xiaotong’s alma mater, she responded, “I’m also his shijie (senior female classmate or disciple). I usually teach him how to study. Shidi (junior male classmate or disciple) is really awesome, he’s wonderful in everything!”
