The queen of ancient costume dramas, Zhao Lusi (赵露思), is back with another series, “The Romance of Tiger and Rose” (传闻中的陈芊芊). Zhao Lusi plays “Chen Xiaoqian”, a 7th rate screenwriter who uses all her might and effort to write a female themed script that finally gets attention. The drama was set to start filming, but is halted after the male lead, played by Ding Yuxi (丁禹兮), questions the amount of romantic scenes in the script. She becomes determined to prove herself, however, she wakes up as the evil second female lead when she gets trapped in her script.
