Pakho Chau (周柏豪) and Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪) attended a press conference on May 28 to promote their upcoming variety show, “The PakhoBen Outdoor Show” (兩個小生去Camping), airing on June 1. The two actors and good friends filmed the show in April and went to different camping sites throughout Hong Kong. Pakho Chau and Benjamin Yuen revealed there were times when they had to stay overnight.

They also invited several guests such as Raymond Wong (王浩然), Raymond Cho (曹永廉), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Tony Hung (洪永城), Joey Chan (陳山聰), Hana Kuk (菊梓喬), Shiga Lin (連詩雅), and Bowie Cheung (張寶兒) to join their camping experience. Pakho Chau even pointed out Benjamin Yuen’s girlfriend, Bowie Cheung, was the secret weapon, saying that whenever she washed anything, Benjamin Yuen would step in to help.

As it turns out, Pakho Chau and Benjamin Yuen have known each other for over 20 years. Pakho Chau explained, “We were still using ICQ back then. He was already known for being a school hunk. His ICQ account was spreading on the internet. So I added him and that’s how we’ve known each other since then.” Benjamin Yuen revealed, “The first time we worked together was a play 10 years ago. Afterwards, we worked on “Line Walker” (使徒行者).

They were also asked if they discovered any qualities of each other that they couldn’t stand after filming. Pakho Chau expressed, “Maybe because it’s his personality. He talks really slowly. There are a lot of times when I tell him to talk faster. Maybe because I’m used to talking fast. When I receive his texts sometimes, some of the messages are over 20 seconds long. After listening to a few, he still hasn’t talked about the thing.” As for Benjamin Yuen, he said, “After he mentioned it, I really did talk faster.”

They revealed some of the topics got pretty deep especially when they drove to the camp site. Benjamin Yuen described Pakho Chau was a very cute oppa, but because of this show, he had put down the image he’s been supporting for years. The viewers are going to see an even realer side to Pakho Chau as he didn’t wear any make up or do his hair.
